Tranquil Fields was formed in 2016 by Annie Collins and Sarah Corcoran. Our ethos is to provide a high quality service in a welcoming and relaxing environment. We are joined by a team of highly professional therapist who take a pride in providing wonderful treatments with client care being a priority. Located on the popular Farrington’s Farm Shop site, Tranquil Fields benefits from a beautiful rural location and is surrounded by lovely little independent shops as well a being opposite the award winning Farrrington Farm Shop and Cafe. We have free parking with disabled spaces as well as disabled access.
Annie Collins (Bowen Therapy, Emmett Technique) Annie’s background is in nursing – general, midwifery and intensive care as a speciality for many years. Whilst bringing up her children she became interested in complementary therapies to promote well-being and help the body cope with stress. Annie trained in Swedish Massage, Reflexology and Thermal Auricular Therapy at Yeovil College. She is also qualified in Hot Stones Massage and Lava Shell Massage as well as a being a Reiki practitioner. Latterly, Annie specialises in the Bowen Therapy and the Emmett Technique – subtle and fine adjustments which help re-balance, relieve and reduce pain. Ask Annie about semi-permanent make-up (micro-pigmentation).
Sarah Corcoran (Solution Focused Hypnotherapist/Easibirthing® Hypnobirthing Practitioner) Having spent 18 months travelling around Asia, Sarah began her training in complementary therapies at the Institute of Thai Massage in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand, achieving a Level IV Diploma in Thai Massage. On returning to the UK she went on to qualify in Advanced Body Massage, Swedish Massage, Advanced Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Thermal Auricular Therapy and LaStone Hot and Cold Stone Massage – the original hot and cold stone massage. For a number of years Sarah worked at the world famous Cowshed where she treated a number of personalities from the world of film, TV and music. As well as being a Reiki Master, she has a passion for meditation which has led to an interest in hypnotherapy – Sarah is a qualified Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. She has extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of hypnotherapy. Abby Roberts (beauty and massage therapist) joined us as a beauty and complementary therapist and works Tuesday and Thursday. After many years working as a PA she decided to turn her burning ambition of working within beauty and massage into a reality. She has many years of expertise and is frequently undergoing additional training to expand her expertise including Advanced Waxing (Hollywood, Sicilian and Brazilian) and Lash Lifting. She has a very gentle manner with her clients and she particularly enjoys massage and facial therapies. Abby enjoys spending her free time on long walks with her husband, son and Max, their Jack Russell.
Adam Nicholas (massage therapist) has over 20 years experience as a massage therapist having trained upon losing his sight. He uses Swedish, remedial and diagonal techniques to ensure that the client receives exactly the right massage for their needs. He has vast experience and an incredible sense of intuition. He also has many years experience as a youth counsellor and helping people come to terms with blindness. He has a son and in his spare time enjoys drumming.
Clare Torday (acupuncturist) has been practicing acupuncture and tui na massage for 10 years. She qualified from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture in 2007, completing a BSc in Acupuncture and a Diploma in Herbal Medicine. Clare also went to China to finish her study under the doctors at the Hangzhou Medical Centre where she was able to observe and understand the grassroots of acupuncture. Since qualifying Clare has worked in Central London and then moved to North Somerset where she works from home as well as here at Tranquil Fields. She has developed her skills by undertaking courses in infertility and gynaecology, facial rejuvenation acupuncture and addiction and mental health. Clare is also a qualified yoga teacher.
Arianne Fournier (massage therapist) trained as a professional dancer at the Rambert Ballet and Contemporary and has been fascinated with the body, it’s mechanics and abilities since childhood. She qualified with a ‘distinction’ in 2011 with ITEC and has diplomas in Holistic Massage and Anatomy and Physiology. She is trained in deep tissue massage, pregnancy and post natal massage and trigger point therapy massage. Her approach is warm, intuitive and holistic – she looks at a client as a whole: assessing their postural habits, stress levels and emotional state as well physical symptoms in order to give the client balance and to promote a state of well being. As is the philosophy at Tranquil Fields, she is passionate about investigating the connection between body and mind and she tailors her treatments to each individuals needs. She is continually attending courses and workshops in order to grow as a therapist and ensure a high standard of care to her clients.
